Following the sampling of the goods, the laboratory report confirms that:

 

• The outer covering and internal filling are polyester, not cotton as declared in the product documentation.

• Formaldehyde was detected above the applicable limit in both textile samples.

• The elevated formaldehyde results are consistent with the inspection concern arising from the strong chemical odour; however, odour

alone is not an analytical identification.

• Visible reside and corrosion were observed around the rechargeable battery compartment. The battery was isolated and referred for

specialist electrical and battery-safety examination.
